Biography

Erik Bunert was born in Salzgitter, Germany in 1987. He studied electrical engineering in Hanover (Germany) with a focus on sensors and automation technology. In 2013, he received the Dipl.-Ing. degree from Leibniz Universität Hannover. Since then, he has been working as a research engineer at the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Measurement Technology, Leibniz Universität Hannover (Germany) in the area of gas measuring technology. He is currently working on his doctoral thesis focusing on nonradioactive ionization sources, primarily for application in ion mobility spectrometry. In particular, he develops nonradioactive electron sources including control and measuring electronics.
