Biography

Yasuhito Gotoh received M. Eng from Kyoto University, Japan, in 1987. Then he joined Toyota Central Research and Development Laboratories, Inc., and worked as an engineer of thin film technology mostly for automotive applications. In 1990, he joined Department of Electronics, Kyoto University as an instructor and received D. Eng in 2002.
Currently, he is an associate professor of Department of Electronic Science and Engineering. He has been engaged in fabrication, characterization, and application of field emission devices both for ions and electrons for many years.
He is a Fellow of the Japan Society of Vacuum and Surface Science, and a member of IEEE, AVS, and some academic societies in Japan.Y. Gotoh organized the 31st International Vacuum Nanoelectronics Conference in 2018 in Kyoto, Japan.
