All conference attendees are invited to a field trip on Thursday, July 18. After the end of the 7th session, we will get on the bus and go to see the beauty of South Moravia :).
Our first stop will be the Chateau Lednice.
State Chateau Lednice is one of the most visited monuments in the Czech Republic. It is a Neo-Gothic residence surrounded by one of Europe’s largest parks (almost 200 ha), in which you can find a Palm House, a Venetian fountain, a Roman aqueduct, a Chinese Pavilion, a minaret and artificial ruins of John’s Castle. Thanks to the unique connection of the monuments with the surrounding man-made nature, the entire Lednice-Valtice area was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996.
After the chateau tour, you will visit an iconic winery with more than a century of tradition surrounded by vineyards – Šlechtitelská stanice vinařská Velké Pavlovice.
