On Wednesday evening, July 17, you can join one of the Themed Tours of Brno. Interested in architecture? History? Do you want to discover great places where you can have a glass of wine or beer? Then you should definitely join!
You can choose from following tours:
First time in Brno
(approx. 1 h – 1 h 30), 150 CZK, meeting point: Šilingrovo náměstí, 6 PM
Don’t have much time, but would you like to find out what is an absolute “must see” in the centre of Brno? During the First Time in Brno tour, your guide will introduce you to the main sights in the city centre. You can admire Brno’s remarkable squares, see the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul or hear the most famous Brno legends.
Itinerary:
Old Town Hall (courtyard, Brno dragon) Vegetable Market (Baroque Parnas Fountain, Reduta Theatre), Capuchin Square, St. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Freedom Square (Klein Palace, House of the Lords of Lipá, Moravian Bank building, Plague Column, Clockwork – Brno Astronomical Clock), St. James Church, Moravian Square. This tour does not include entrance to the buildings.

Functionalism in the centre of Brno
(approx. 1 h – 1 h 30), 150 CZK, meeting point: Šilingrovo náměstí, 6 PM
If you like architecture, you will remember that Brno is home to a true gem of functionalism – the impressive Villa Tugendhat. However, in the centre of Brno, we can admire many other monuments and buildings that remind us of the famous interwar era of functionalism. Come and see at least some of them – the former Moravian Bank, the Beetle and Babka department store, Alfa Palace, Avion Hotel, Bata department store, the City Accommodation Office and others. This tour does not include entrance to the buildings.
