Selection Criteria

Selection Criteria to IVNC 2024

The Technical Program Committee of IVNC will select abstracts based on novelty and completenss of the work, specifically

  • Clearly state what is the work being reported (fabricated devices, simulations, experiments, data analysis)
  • Clearly state the goal of the work reported, as well as the significance of the results.
  • Clearly state how the reported work compared to the state of the art. Provide references to relevant literature including publications by the author’s group.

Authors should not submit work that has already been presented at another conference or that has been published in other literature. Authors should clearly delineate how the submitted work differs from other recent work by the same research group, or by other groups.

Reasons Abstracts are not accepted:

  • Was not submitted to the IVNC website by deadline to send to the reviewers
  • Prior Publication
  • Papers over two pages with more than one page of text and one page of figures.
  • Didn’t show application was working
  • Had some relevant information missing, e.g., data, experimental details, simulation details.
  • Results incomplete, inconclusive and/or no verification
  • Unclear what is “new” from your previous work or others
  • Poor images and unclear pictures or no picture of device
  • Abstract acting as a commercial instead of reporting research
  • Insufficient technical impact
  • Wrong meeting for this topic – better suited for a different meeting
  • Didn’t reference previous known work or publications

Note: The Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (CAS) has disassociated itself from cooperation with Russia and Belarus at the institutional level, and since the proceedings and its preparation will be funded by the CAS, it is not possible under the current circumstances for Russian/Belarusian institutions or scientists from these institutions to be represented in the proceedings. We therefore regret to inform you that papers authored or co-authored by a scientist from a Russian/Belarusian institution will not be accepted for this reason.
