Quick walkthrough
Important: The extended abstract submission via IEEE explore is still being finalized with IEEE and the website for submission is not available yet. In the meantime, submit your two page extended abstract using the templates to Ms. Teresa Hamad at hamadt@ucmail.uc.edu. All extended abstracts will be made available on a flash drive at the time of the registration
Once the IEEE explore website is available (it will be communicated here), follow the following procedure
Submission procedure
Authors are requested to complete following four steps to complete the submission. Note that you need to complete all four steps before the deadline.
1. Prepare abstract
2. Generate IEEE-compliant PDF
3. Submit abstract PDF
4. Finish online copyright transfer
Deadline: June 5, 2019 23:59 EST
*Note that abstracts submitted after the deadline cannot be included in the conference booklet or IEEE Xplore.

The SGS / SP Award
If you would like to apply to the Shoulders-Gray-Spindt Award and/or Student Presentation Award, check the details below and apply to each award by the deadline.
Submission Procedure
Important: Please carefully follow the steps below. Abstracts not complying with IEEE requirements or those with missing or incomplete copyright forms, will not appear in the conference proceedings on IEEE Xplore.
(Optional) Applying to the SGS / SP awards
IVNC2018 awards young scientists with the following awards. Please refer to the list below for conditions for award application.

- Shoulders-Gray-Spindt (SGS) Award
The SGS award is given to the best presentation by young scientists* in each IVNC. In order to apply to the SGS award, authors must submit their extended abstract by 24 May, 2018. After submitting the extended abstract, please send an e-mail to the conference secretariat at ivnc2018@krp.co.jp. The e-mail should include the presenter’s name, an abstract number (e.g. EABR000001) and your supervisor’s recommendation. The entry via email is due on 1st June, 2018.
*Young scientists: students and post doctoral appointment (up to two years past his/her Ph.D. award date, as of the first day of the conference). - Student Presentation Award
Student Presentation Awards will be given to selected students among those who made presentation of his/her paper at the poster session. The student authors who make an oral presentation can also present their work as a poster presentation for SP award. Application to the SP award should be made when you submit your extended abstract. Please add comment: “Nominate my poster for SPA” or “Add a poster for my oral presentation and nominate it for SPA”. The deadline of the application is 24th May, 2018.
Step 1: Preparing your extended abstract
Use one of these templates (Word or LaTeX) with page size A4 provided by IEEE. Do not change the layout (e.g. page size, margins, styles, fonts). Note that, although the template contains 3 pages as it includes instructions, the extended abstract is strictly limited to two pages.

Step 2: Generating IEEE-compatible PDF
Visit IEEE PDF eXpress to convert DOC file to PDF, or validate your extended abstract to be compliant with IEEE Xplore. Download the approved PDF file for later submission. If you make any changes to the manuscript, you need to use PDF eXpress again to generate new PDF or re-check your PDF.
*IMPORTANT*
It is mandatory to include a copyright credit to your abstract BEFORE proceeding to PDF eXpress. Please check the following instruction (click here)
Step 3: Submit IEEE-compatible PDF via submission page
Submit the PDF file processed by IEEE PDF eXpress to the conference organizer.
