Context: RESEARCH PROGRM PNEC

PNEC was created under my supervision in September 2004. Since it has been supported by the university and CNRS with recruitments in 2005, 7, 11 and 12 of two permanent researchers and three professors. The team was always rated A+ (the highest) by the national committee.

From a program focused on the growth of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and the use of field emission (FE) to access their physical properties, we broadened the scope of our investigations to include new nano-objects and methodologies. Our program is now based on advanced expertise in many aspects of nanoscience: Field emission, Nanotubes, Nanowires, Nanomechanics, Graphene, 1D thermal and electrical transport, and nano-manipulation directly in electron microscopes. Our program extends from the fundamental to the applied.
