IVNC 2016 tutorials

This year, we are trying something new and very exciting!

During the first day (Monday 11 July), before the welcome reception, we will have three tutorials: one on field-emission, one on photo-emission and one on thermal emission. These will be given by experts with a deep understanding of these electron emission mechanisms from a theoretical perspective, and provide a detailed look at these mechanisms from both a more conventional, solid-state type of approach and recent, quantum-mechanical modeling/simulation perspectives. The idea is to set the stage for the regular program of the conference and make sure we are all on the same page in terms of background theory. There is no additional cost for participation in the tutorials–it’s all included in the registration fee.

Check out the list of the tutorial speakers, in addition to the plenary speakers and the invited speakers.
